Fernandina Beach, FL — Complaints about drug houses being operated off Oneil-Scott Road in Fernandina Beach sparked a major investigation in Nassau County.
Now, six people are behind bars.
Deputies from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Fernandina Beach Police Department started gathering information on the alleged drug houses in June 2021.

Then on Sept. 15, those investigators teamed up with the Florida Highway Patrol; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to arrest these six people:
Marcus Laquan Jones, 41, from Fernandina Beach; possession of cocaine, sale of cocaine (19 prior arrests on various charges).
Terrence Renard Johnson, 48, from Fernandina Beach; sale of cocaine (4 prior arrests on various charges).
Vincent Joseph Jones, 70, Fernandina Beach; sale of cocaine (27 prior arrests on various charges).
Nason Vincent Jones, 32, Fernandina Beach; sale of cocaine (21 prior arrests on various charges).
Joshua Ahman Malachi Jones, 23, Fernandina Beach; possession of cocaine (31 prior arrests on various charges).
Ty’Lek Latroy Sharper, 18, Fernandina Beach; sale of cocaine (14 prior arrests on various charges).

“The people who were involved in this operation are drug dealers and repeat offenders,” said Sheriff Bill Leeper. “We see the destruction that these illegal narcotics wreak on the homes, individuals and families within our communities. If you have knowledge of someone dealing illegal drugs within Nassau County, please let us know.”
