St. Augustine, FL — Beginning at midnight, swimming at all St. Johns County beaches will be prohibited, according to the St. Augustine Beach Police Department.
Fort Matanzas National Monument is included in that order.
Extremely high tides and dangerous rip currents are expected.
Swimming will remain prohibited until further notice. Watch for the red flag warnings on the beach.
Visitors are asked to avoid the beaches for now.
