Mega Millions jackpot nears $500 million as no one matches Tuesday’s numbers

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has risen to $494 million in advance of Friday night’s drawing, lottery officials announced.

The jackpot prize, which is the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot of 2022, reached nearly half a billion dollars after no one matched all six numbers on Tuesday. The cash payout for a $494 million prize would be $248.7 million.

The last time someone won the Mega Million jackpot was on July 29, when a $1.3 billion prize was won.

The Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.

The winning numbers drawn Tuesday were white balls 3, 7, 11, 13 and 38, plus the gold Mega Ball 1.

The Powerball lottery jackpot also turned over after no one matched the winning numbers in the last drawing. It now sits at $420 million. Powerball drawings are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
