New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman arrested for vandalism, police say

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was arrested Saturday night in California for misdemeanor vandalism, according to Lt. Elisabeth Albanese of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

TMZ originally reported the story, and ESPN, citing police in California, followed suit several hours later.

Albanese said Edelman, 33, was arrested after allegedly jumping the hood of a Mercedes in Beverly Hills, around 9 p.m., WFXT reported.

Edelman was released on a citation, Albanese told WFXT, and is scheduled to appear at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles on April 13.
