MANDAN, N.D. — Police in North Dakota arrested a mother and her three children after a burglary at a smoke shop over the weekend.
Mandan police were called to Moe’s Smoke Shop early on Oct. 30 for a report of a burglary, KFYR reported. The store’s owner told the station that two people stole $5,000 to $10,000 in merchandise and threw rocks, shattering a glass door, which caused approximately $3,000 in damage.
Police told KXMB that surveillance video showed the theft, and a large quantity of vaping products was stolen.
Police said that they identified two boys, ages 13 and 15, and charged them with burglary, the Bismarck Tribune reported. Police told the newspaper they were arrested when officers served a search warrant at the boys’ home.
Some of the stolen items were recovered at the home, Mandan police told the Bismarck Tribune, and a 14-year-old girl was charged with possession of stolen property.
The 38-year-old mother of the teenagers was arrested on drug charges, police told KXMB.
