THE PLAYERS Championship 2023: What’s new for fans this year?

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — We’re about two weeks out from the official start of THE PLAYERS Championship at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach.

In a letter to fans, THE PLAYERS Executive Director Jared Rice shared some of the new enhancements on the property for 2023:

  • The majesty around holes 16 and 17 will be even bigger, Rice said: “We are excited to unveil a two-story hospitality footprint surrounding holes 16 and 17, which will create a truly spectacular atmosphere around the Island Green, where roars continue to be heard throughout the property.”
  • A new fan zone and a bigger fan shop: “A new fan zone adjacent to the tee on the par-5 ninth will feature the expanded Tito’s Stillhouse Lounge and The Oasis, while the Fan Shop just inside the Nicklaus Entry will be the largest in PLAYERS history.”
  • New app: Rice said he recommends that everyone attending THE PLAYERS download the PGA TOUR’s brand-new app and review the fan guide before coming to the property.
