Doug Marrone going with Glennon so Minshew goes back to the bench

Jacksonville, Fla. — For more on this story, watch Action Sports Jax tonight at 10 on CBS47/FOX30.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will start Mike Glennon at quarterback Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Gardner Minshew is healthy but goes back to the bench for the Jags.

Glennon has started three games this season already and will now get to face his old team in the home finale for the Jaguars. In 2017, Glennon signed a 3 year $45 million deal with the Bears. He started eight games and played one season with Chicago.

This year, Glennon has 3 touchdown passes and 3 interceptions this season and is 0-3 as the starter for the Jags.

In an unusual move, head coach Doug Marrone said Glennon and Minshew will compete for the job this week and an announcement will be made on Saturday. The Jags have lost 13 games in a row and currently are in position to have the number one draft pick in 2021.
