For the first time since 2015, Tiger Woods is going to play in THE PLAYERS.
Woods, a two-time champion at TPC Sawgrass, officially committed to the tournament on Thursday. Earlier Thursday, he said he would also play in the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte next week.
The 2018 PLAYERS will be May 8-13 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. The tournament is expected to move back to its traditional March date in 2019 after 10 years as a May event.

Woods is six tournaments into a comeback from multiple back surgeries, with two top-10s. He's made five cuts and nearly won the PGA TOUR event in Tampa earlier this spring.
Injuries -- and a 2009-2010 sex scandal -- have prevented Woods from making multiple appearances at TPC Sawgrass this decade.
He won the tournament in 2013. The 2013 season also marks the last time Woods, 42, won a PGA TOUR event.
PGA TOUR officials also said Thursday that 2007 PLAYERS champion Phil Mickelson also committed to the event.
