Gas leak closes Beaver Street and Broadway Street, JSO says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that Beaver Street and Broadway Street are both closed due to a gas leak in the area.

According to police, Beaver Street is closed between Clay Street and Jefferson Street. Broadway Street is closed between Ashley Street and Union Street. Traffic patrol is suggesting that drivers should take Union Street or State Street as alternate routes.

JSO said the streets may be closed anywhere between 20 minutes to several hours.
