First Alert Weather: Hot with afternoon storms shifting inland

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — WATCH LIVE: Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh has your First Alert forecast all evening long on CBS47 and FOX30.

The First Alert Weather Team is tracking a few inland showers and storms moving away from the metro for the evening commute.

Thursday morning will be dry with temperatures in the 70s. We will climb to the lower 90s by the early afternoon before isolated inland showers and storms begin to develop on the sea breeze.

The showers and storms will generally push inland through the afternoon. Locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are the main threats. Friday will be mainly dry and hot. Scattered showers and storms are in store for the afternoons during the weekend.
