JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The bulk of the rain today has been across Southeast Georgia, with heavy downpours and isolated thunderstorms. Only brief, spotty showers have made their way through portions of Northeast Florida so far, but chances for rain look higher through the evening. A few showers will continue overnight with lows in the 70's.

Mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers continue for Monday with rough seas and surf due to a persistent onshore flow pattern. Rain chances continue through Thursday before drier air arrives into next weekend. Temperatures during this time will be in the low to mid 80's.
TROPICS: There are currently two areas of low pressure being monitored for potential tropical development over the next five days. One is over the Central Atlantic and the other is situated between Bermuda and the Carolinas. Regardless of any tropical development, these systems are not forecast to impact the United States other than increased seas and surf.
Not the nicest beach day with rough and dangerous surf today. Breaker heights are at 3-6 feet with a high risk of rip currents. #FirstAlertWX @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/cUR16qaaeN
