RALEIGH, N.C. — A four-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building under construction Thursday night in downtown Raleigh, WRAL reported.
The five-story building on West North Street caught fire at about 10 p.m.
The fire spread to another high-rise building and firefighters said people could be trapped inside.
Avoid the downtown area surrounding North Street, West Street and Harrington. Raleigh Fire and Police responding to fire.
