Whether you’re shopping for clothes, home essentials, crafts or eyeglasses, you may be able to save at the register with a senior citizen’s discount.
In this article, you’ll find a list of retail stores that offer regular discounts for seniors. I followed up with each store to verify the details of the discounts, but you’ll still want to check with your nearest location for any possible exclusions.
Stores That Offer Senior Discounts
Several retail stores offer special discounts to senior shoppers on certain days of the month or week.
A lot of the discounts listed below are available everyMonday or Tuesday, though some stores only offer these discounts during the first week of each month. Other stores, like UPS and LensCrafters, offer discounts and services daily to seniors and/or AARP members.
Before you make your final purchase, take the time to check and see if you can save even more by shopping somewhere else. Check out our guide on how to use Google Shopping as an easy online price comparison tool.
Lastly, consider waiting to make your purchase at a time that things are likely to be on sale. For example, Amazon will offer discounts during Prime Day in July. School supplies and technology will be on sale in August and September, and of course, Black Friday sales will offer up huge discounts toward the end of the year.
For regular purchases throughout the year, your senior discount alone can still help you save big over time!
Again, be sure to contact your nearest stores for details and exclusions. No matter where you shop, remember that it never hurts to ask about additional discounts and savings that you may be eligible for.
