Dawgs control their own destiny in SEC East

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Win and they’re in, that’s what’s facing the University of Georgia football team the rest of this SEC season as they try to get back to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game in early December.

The lone blemish on the schedule, an early season loss at South Carolina 38-35.

As Georgia gets ready for Saturday’s clash with the Florida Gators (CBS47, 3:30pm) they know  three more wins and they will win the SEC East.

If they beat Floirda, win at Kentucky the following week and then beat Auburn between the hedges, Georgia will be the champions of the SEC East and have a shot at winning the conference and perhaps even getting to the final four college football playoffs.

It starts Saturday where in this series of cycles the arrow is pointing red and black.  Georgia has won the last three against Florida, overall Bulldogs coach Mark Richt is 5-8 vs the Gators.
