First Alert Weather: Near record heat continues through Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — WATCH LIVE: Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh has your First Alert forecast all morning long on FOX30 and CBS47.

Today was the third day in a row above 90 degrees but expect a mild evening as overnight lows drop into the low 70s under mostly clear skies.

Yet another 90 degree Friday and another dry day too.  Skies will be partly to mostly sunny.  Temperatures will finally cool some over the weekend with a few brief showers moving west off the Atlantic.

Tropical Storm Karen is moving through the Southwest Atlantic. It is expected to make a loop over the weekend. Karen will likely weaken as it moves west through the early and middle part of next week with few serious impacts expected for NE Fl./SE Ga. Hurricane Lorenzo will stay out to sea over the Eastern Atlantic.
