PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — The Action Sports Jax Dream 18 golf tournament helped raise more than $18,000 Monday at Sawgrass Country Club.
The money benefits North Florida Junior Golf and the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida. Both nonprofit charities helped plan and execute the tournament.
The Dream 18 originated in 2010 on CBS47 and FOX30. The idea was to bring awareness of golf in the Jacksonville area and a grassroots effort to raise money for local charities.
The Action Sports Jax Dream 18 has now raised over $33,000 for local charities since its inception.
