Atlantic Beach among America's favorite beaches of 2017

Atlantic Beach has been named one of America's favorite beaches of 2017, according to Expedia.

Expedia analyzed tens of thousands of social media conversations to find America's favorite beaches.

Atlantic Beach scored high in three of the categories for the report for its cleanliness, family-friendly appeal and relaxation.

Expedia writes:

Relaxation is paramount at Atlantic Beach, where locals and travelers like to take life a little easier. Once you're done resting on the pristine white beach, go into Beaches Town Center for some retail therapy. Rejuvenate at One Ocean Spa, where the packages include a variety of healing and soothing remedies.
Let your hair down at an Atlantic Beach must: Ragtime Tavern. Here you'll be met with a cold, handcrafted beer; friendly locals; and innovative cuisine."

Clearwater Beach, Siesta Key, Naples Beach, South Beach and Key Biscayne were among other beaches recognized in Florida.

California's Laguna/Crystal Cove, Santa Monica, La Jolla, Coronado and Santa Cruz beaches were on the list.

In Hawaii, Kaanapali, Lahaina, Poipu, Waikiki and Kailua made the list.
