Back-to-school vaccines: Where you can get them for free

Health officials in the area are encouraging you to get your children up to date on their shots before the back-to-school rush.

Clay County is kicking off a three-week immunization drive at the Bear Run Clinic, and other counties are letting you drop in when the time is right. They say lines will be longer if you wait until right before school starts.

Children up to 18 years old are eligible, and the Florida Department of Health has a list of schedules and requirements for anyone going going back to school.

The list of childhood immunizations below are available at NO COST.

  • Dtap
  • Dtap-IPV
  • Pediarix (Dtap,IPV, and Hepatitis B)
  • Pentacel (Dtap, HIB, and IPV)
