JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Baker County residents can start Early Voting Thursday.
There is only one site open in Baker County for early voting and that’s the Supervisor of Elections in Macclenny. The site is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
There are 16,949 registered voters in the county. There are 10,410 registered Republicans and 4,479 registered Democrats.
One voter, Rose Wooten, was waiting an hour outside of the elections' office before the polls even opened. She said that she has always voted since becoming a citizen in the 70s, and this election year has been quite different.
“I was a citizen in 1973, and I have seen many presidents come along, but I’ve never seen anything like it is today,” Wooten said.
