JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A black Toyota Prius slammed through the storefront of a North Jacksonville nail salon on Friday.
An employee at a nearby store told Action News Jax Ryan Nelson he thought it sounded like a bomb went off.
Cleanup crews were beginning their work as Nelson and his photographer arrived on the scene.

Brionna Young was on her way to a nearby furniture store when she heard a loud noise.
“And then next thing you know, boom!” she said. “Yeah, your day is interrupted. That’s crazy.”
Sky Action News Jax flew over the scene as police surrounded the salon.
Bystanders gathered with cellphones in hand to catch a glimpse of the gaping hole left behind.
Cleanup crews worked to pick up the debris, including shattered glass, scattered across the sidewalk.
Witnesses said it looked like two women were hurt. JFRD spokesperson Tom Francis tells Action News Jax at least one person was taken to a local hospital, and there were no reports of serious injuries.
“Thankfully, nobody got too hurt,” said Young. “Nobody died.”
