STORY: Jacksonville Landing shooting suspect had history of mental illness
A woman was shot in her driveway overnight of her Middleburg home, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting happened in the area of College Drive and Northglen Circle.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive, the sheriff's office said.
Action News Jax spoke to neighbor, Erica Frisk, who says she was surprised to hear about the shooting in their quiet neighborhood.
"Usually the only thing you hear at that time of the morning is garbage trucks things like that, people leaving to go to work -- not anything like that were we expecting,” Frisk said.
Investigators believe the woman was targeted and called the shooting an "isolated incident."
