Jacksonville Beach, Fla. — Update - August 29, 2020, 7:43 PM: Action News Jax Jamarlo Phillips got information that the wife of the charter captain had received a text from her husband saying they could see land. After an exhaustive search by the U.S. Coast Guard, family and friends are waiting at the Mayport boat ramp to see the boat arrive.

Original Report - August 29, 2020, 4:58 PM: Action News Jax has learned that the United States Coast guard is searching for a fishing vessel off the coast near Mayport.
#Breaking @USCG is actively searching for fishing vessel Drop Hook Charters, 12 Nautical Miles northeast of the St. Johns Inlet, #Jacksonville. The Coast Guard is trying to locate the fishing vessel ’Drop Hook Charters’ 12 nautical miles northeast of the St. Johns Inlet, the area where the river spills out to the Atlantic.
