Repair crews were busy Tuesday working to repair homes affected by the tornado that hit Monday and those affected by the larger impact of Tropical Storm Colin.
The National Weather Service released a map showing the roughly four-mile-long path of the tornado that hit Jacksonville's Westside near Normandy Boulevard and Blair Road Monday afternoon.
John Gaschler lives along the tornado’s path.
“I just hear a loud sound like a train coming through,” Gaschler said. “Walked outside my doors and noticed all my screens were missing.”
Gaschler said he is working with his insurance company to get an estimate for the cost of the damage.

“Everything snapped in half," Gaschler said. "People are missing shingles off their roof. We got a whole bunch of shingles in our pool all around the house.”
Belfor Property Restoration allowed Action News Jax to go along with a crew working to fix a damaged roof in Jacksonville Beach.
“We’ve been experiencing an increase in claims volume about 5 to 6 times what we would normally receive,” Belfor Property Restoration general manager Jason McGlinchey said. “A lot of penetrations from wind blowing debris as well as tear of roofing materials and also backed up roof drains, which is causing a lot of flooding in commercial buildings.”
In total, McGlinchey estimated their crews will work on close to 100 homes affected by the storm.
“They are definitely tired,” McGlinchey said. “They have worked very hard the last few days."
