JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
According to Adam Schefter ESPN senior NFL insider, Gardner Minshew II had X-rays this week that revealed multiple fractures and a strained ligament in his right thumb.
The Jaguars did not know about Minshew’s injury until this week.
Minshew has been having discomfort in his thumb since Oct. 11.
The Jaguars are on bye this week, and return to play against Houston Nov. 8.
It is uncertain whether Minshew will be able to play or not.
Mike Glennon is the Jags backup QB.
Confirming Schefter report. The question will now be if Minshew needs to rest it, needs any procedure or will try to play through it. Glennon and Luton would be other options. https://t.co/ulr4b6Grp9
