JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is responding to a multi-vehicle crash with multiple patients at the 4600 block of Emerson Street on Wednesday.
Crews responded around 8 p.m. to the crash involving more than 5 patients. One person who was trapped has been freed. JFRD has called this a mass-casualty incident level 1.
No fatalities have been reported at this time.
The westbound lanes of Emerson Expressway are closed from Beach Blvd. to Emerson Street due to the crash. Crews are advising motorists to avoid the area.
The patient has been extricated from the vehicle.
