A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a SUV Monday evening in Jacksonville, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to a crash report, around 5:51 p.m., a man riding on a blue Suzuki motorcycle was traveling north on St. Johns Bluff Road and collided with a SUV traveling south on the same road, to turn left on Lost Pine Drive.
Troopers said the motorcyclist, identified as Cody Leonard, 28, of Jacksonville, was taken to Memorial Hospital where he died.
The 54-year-old driver of the SUV was not hurt.
