Salvation army to open cold night shelter a second night

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Salvation Army in Jacksonville will open its cold night shelter for a second night on Tuesday.

At 900 W. Adams Street, the shelter will provide a place to stay for homeless people who would normally be exposed to those elements overnight.

The temperatures dipped below 42 degrees overnight Monday and the shelter provided shelter for 49 people. According to the Salvation Army, they had dinner, snack and a hot breakfast.
