Four people seriously injured in Putnam County crash, FPH says

HASTINGS, Fla. — One driver and 3 passengers were seriously injured outside of Hastings this morning when a pickup truck overturned on Yelvington Rd.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, at around 2:37 a.m. a 36-year-old man with his five passengers were driving eastbound on Yelvington Rd. when he drove off the left shoulder.

Troopers say the driver overcorrected and then traveled onto the right shoulder before speeding back onto the roadway, overturning and landing in a ditch.

The driver and 3 passengers were seriously injured in the crash. FPH says they were not wearing seatbelts. The other two passengers suffered only minor injuries.
