FWC report identifies Clay County boat crash victims

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A report by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission identifies the two passengers on the boat that crashed into a dock in Black Creek on Tuesday morning.

One of the passengers died in the crash.

According to the report, Earl S. Brookins, 71, was operating an open motorboat while Heather D. Anan, 44, was a passenger.

The boat struck a dock at a high speed, the report states, and Anan was ejected from the boat. She died from her injuries.

Brookins was taken to the hospital with injuries to his arms, his back and his head. He is in non-critical condition, the report says.
