Jacksonville man claims $15 million scratch-off prize

The Florida Lottery announced Thursday that Jason Maresch, 48, of Jacksonville claimed a top prize in the Florida 100X the Cash Scratch-off game  at the Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

The top prize is $15 million and Maresch chose to receive a lump-sum payment of $11,175,00.00.

The Florida Lottery says the winning ticket was purchased from Ron's Food Mart at 2603 Spring Park Road, which will also receive a bonus commission of $30,000 for selling the winning ticket.

"The $30 game, FLORIDA 100X THE CASH features eight top prizes of $15 million – the largest Scratch-Off top prize ever offered by the Florida Lottery! The game also offers 20 prizes of $1 million. Overall odds of winning are one-in-2.59," Lizeth Goerge with the Florida Lottery said in a statement released Thursday.
