Jacksonville man claims KFC worker hit him in the face with box of chicken

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident in which a Jacksonville man claims he was hit in the face with a box of chicken from KFC.

According to a report filed by JSO, Ronald Jenkins was upset with an employee at the KFC at 2258  Edgewood Ave. because she did not appear to have gloves on while preparing food, so he began videoing the situation with his phone.

The video shows Jenkins at the drive-thru window waiting for his order when he and an employee exchanged words because he was videoing.

Toward the end of the video, the employee is seen throwing the food out of the drive-thru window into Jenkins' car, hitting in him in the face.

When police arrived at the KFC, they identified the suspect as Shade Simmons, who was arrested for battery without injury using a special weapon, according to the report.
