A Jacksonville dive team searched a lake in Nassau County after a tip about a 2016 hit-and-run case in Oceanway, officials said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dive team searched off U.S. 17 in Yulee.
Officers said the search is related to a tip about a 2016 hit and run.
Nassau County's undersheriff said the dive team was looking for a hit and run vehicle that could be in the water.
JSO confirmed it was working a tip related to the triple death hit and run near Duval Station Road in 2016.
Just last week we spoke with the mother of Curtis Carlisle, one of the three killed in that Oceanway hit and run.
Her son, his girlfriend and their best friend were killed just over a year ago this week.
We reached out to the family today after we learned the search was happening and they tell us JSO did not find anything.
