Man shot three times by two suspects after dispute in Mid-Westside area, police investigating

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) is currently investigating a reported shooting incident in the Mid-Westside area, specifically at the intersection of Mc Conihe St. and Tyler St.

According to JSO, officers responded to a call at 1500 7th St. West around 4:00 p.m. regarding a person shot.

An adult male in his 30s was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He had reportedly sustained three gunshot wounds, two to the shoulder and one to the arm.

Initial investigations by JSO suggest that a dispute inside a residence escalated into gunfire. Allegedly, a female suspect shot the victim inside the residence, while a male suspect shot the victim outside the residence. Both suspects were described as wearing dark clothing.

Violent Crimes Detectives are currently at the scene, conducting interviews with witnesses and examining video surveillance footage.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s office at 904-630-0500 or provide tips anonymously through JSO’s online platform or Crime Stoppers hotline at 866-845-TIPS.

This is an ongoing investigation and will be updated when details arrive.
