Update: Jacksonville mom accidentally hits, kills her toddler with car
A Jacksonville toddler has died after his mom accidentally ran him over early Monday.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a relative was watching two young children at the Mathews Crossing Apartments on Century 21 Drive when a 2-year-old walked out of an apartment.

Investigators say the boy's mom accidentally backed over him with a car.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

JSO said the boy's mother showed no signs of impairment.
Officers continue to investigate.
