Jax Beach police officer goes above and beyond

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — On Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, officer Jarman of the Jacksonville Beach Police Department responded to a burglary call.

The investigation uncovered that nearly $1,000 worth of lawn equipment had been stolen from a shed. The victim had a few bicycles stolen a few weeks before the latest incident.

Jarman took matters into his own hands. After doing a little digging, his sergeant found out that Jarman went to a local hardware store, bought the victim a brand-new lawnmower, and personally delivered it to her.

When the department told the victim that they were awarding Jarman for his act of service, Ms. J promised not to miss the ceremony.
