JFRD responding to suspicious house fire in the Biltmore neighborhood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Lane Ave. and Walter Rd. back open

JFRD is responding to a house fire along Old Kings Rd. in the Biltmore neighborhood.

JSO and JFRD personnel responded to a report of a major house fire at around 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning and are still currently at the scene.

JSO is redirecting traffic on the span of road between Lane Ave. and Walter Rd., so drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.

JFRD has given the home an all-clear after its initial search, but they confirm that the fire is suspicious as the home was vacant.

JSO has no suspects at this time.
