A Tampa man was arrested after he called St. Johns County deputies and said his wallet was stolen in an effort to get out of work, authorities said.
Deputies said Dominique Lewis Jones, 28, called 911 on Monday evening to report a robbery at a motel room.

Jones told police that a man ordered him to the ground and took his wallet.
Deputies said Jones couldn't give deputies a description of the man or tell them which way he fled.
A sheriff's office deputy then found Jones' wallet inside his hotel room.

Deputies said further investigation revealed that Jones made up the story about the robbery to get out of work.
He is charged with filing a false report and misuse of the 911 system.
