Man arrested for sexual battery of a child, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 35-year-old man following a report of a sexual battery of a child.

Police were alerted of the incident just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, according to an arrest report.

The heavily redacted report does not include where the incident occurred.

After speaking with the victim, who is under 12 years old, police arrested the suspect identified as Shawn Foster.

Foster was arrested and taken to the Duval County jail, where he faces a capital felony.

He is not eligible for bond. Foster is expected in court on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.
