JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol state that at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday night, a driver was traveling north on Hibernia Road at the same time a pedestrian was attempting to cross an intersection.

FHP states that the front end of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing serious injuries. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead due to her injuries.
