Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash on Beach Boulevard

A 68-year-old woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At approximately 12:34 a.m. Monday, an unknown vehicle traveling westbound on Beach Boulevard struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the road.

After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene traveling westbound. Another pedestrian was struck by the other person hit by the vehicle.

FHP identified the pedestrian killed as Dolores Gunby, 68.  The second pedestrian sustained minor injuries as a result of this crash.

This case is an ongoing investigation.
