Plane crashes on top of landing runway in St. Augustine Airport

ST. JOHNS COUNTYS, Fla. — St. Johns County Fire and Rescue received a call regarding an aircraft that was having mechanical issues with its landing gear.

The aircraft was circling the airport and it decided to land on its belly on the runway.

Firefighters, who were already on the scene, secured and verified that there were no fuel leaks and no injuries were reported.
