THE PLAYERS Championship: Your 2022 guide to parking, rideshare, shuttles and more

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — THE PLAYERS Championship is back this week for another round.

It’s been two years since our area had this tournament at full capacity and with so many fans expected this week parking is sure to be an issue.

“We’ve come to expect around 200,000 fans over the course of the week,” Jared Rice, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of THE PLAYERS Championship said.

Rice told Action News Jax with so many people in town parking for the main event is already sold out.

“Find friends that may have one [parking pass], meet new friends that may already have one, but there are also alternatives,” Rice said.

You can get to TPC Sawgrass by taking a shuttle from three downtown hotels: Jacksonville River City Downtown Hotel, the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, or the Southbank Hotel at Jacksonville Riverwalk.

Round trip tickets are $20 plus tax and are available Thursday through Sunday.

You can also choose a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft or have a friend drop you off.

You can also use a golf cart or ride your bike.

Rice said if you want to arrive at TPC Sawgrass using a golf cart or bike they have a special spot for you too at lot 4E.
