JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman has died after being shot multiple times, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the shooting happened around 2 a.m. at a home in the area of 3000 W 18th Street near Prospect Street in Allendale.
Family members identified the woman to Action News Jax as Latarsha McCray.
According to police, the woman was inside the home when at least one round came through a window, striking her.
Another adult and two children were also at the home at the time of the shooting.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses, but at this time, police do not have any information regarding a suspect. JSO is collecting evidence and canvassing the area. If you have any information, call police or Crime Stoppers.
