Search on for suspect who robbed McDonald's on 210 in St. Johns County

An unknown man robbed the McDonald's on County Road 210 in northern St. Johns County on Sunday.

The robbery happened on County Road 210 at Nature Walk Parkway near the South Hampton and Cimarrone subdivisions.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said that the "suspect forced the manager into the office area, retrieved the cash and exited through the open back door, where he had also entered.

The robbery happened at 11 p.m. The suspect ran on foot and vanished. A K-9 unit lost the suspect's scent, indicating he'd gotten into a car, deputies said.

Employees said the suspect was dark skinned and possibly a black male, wearing all black and carrying a black handgun.
