Southwest Airlines offering direct flights from Jacksonville to Austin, Texas

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Travelers will soon be able to catch a nonstop Southwest Airlines flight from the Jacksonville International Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

The first flight will take off on Oct. 2.

The route will be offered every day of the week except Saturdays.

Southwest currently offers nonstop service from Jacksonville to Baltimore (BWI), Chicago (MDW), Dallas (DAL), Denver (DEN), Houston (HOU), Nashville (BNA) and St. Louis, according to a news release.
