St. Johns County Fire Rescue firefighters are assisting in Mississippi after tornado damage

SHARKEY COUNTY, Ms. — St. Johns County Fire Rescue is assisting in Sharkey County, Mississippi after powerful thunderstorms and an estimated of 20 tornadoes swept across the state.

The storms swept through homes, businesses, and farmland.

SJCFR Special Operations Deputy Chief Joel Sneed is serving as an Incident Commander and Battalion Chief Andrew O’Quinn as an Operations Section Chief assisting with the emergency response as part of the Region 3 All Hazards Incident Management Team.
