Sheriff: 4-county pursuit for St. Johns County home invasion suspects ends in Central Florida

After a four-county pursuit, four St. Johns County home invasion suspects were taken into custody in Orange County, Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said.

Action News Jax sister station WFTV in Orlando reports Lopez said law enforcement was continuing to search for a potential fourth suspect in a wooded area near State Road 528 and Dallas Boulevard. But that fourth person is now in custody.

Lopez said the home invasion happened in St. Johns County, and Brevard County deputies later tracked the car involved and attempted to stop it with spikes. Lopez said the car was then spotted in Osceola County, with deputies following it eventually into Orange County, where the suspects bailed out of the car and into the wooded area.

Deputies used a helicopter and K9 officers to seek out the fourth suspect.

Lopez said the suspects are not cooperating.
