Detectives said they received many anonymous tips related to the murders, but “probable cause could not be obtained to effect an arrest in the case,” according to police.

After further review of information in the case, detectives are asking for additional information from the anonymous tipsters. This additional information could be critical for solving the case, according to investigators.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said, “Detectives are asking those original tipsters and anyone who may have had information at the time, or who have heard anything related to the murders since that time, to contact the St. Johns County Major Crimes Unit by calling Detective Jon Dees at 904-209-2130.”
