State Attorney’s Office warns of local scam

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There is a scam going around and the Office of State Attorney for Florida’s 4th Circuit has been caught in the crosshairs.

Here’s what you should know:

  • The scam targets those who want to eliminate a subpoena or arrest warrant.
  • A caller will reach out claiming to be an investigator and will ask for money or gift cards.
  • If you receive such a call, just hang up.

The State Attorney’s Office says it will never ask for money or gift cards.
