“(In) the actual competition, you are going to see some of the best skaters in the world,” says Joe Carr, CEO of Thrill One Sports and Entertainment.
According to Carr, this competition will look a little different.
“Both men and women, so it’s pretty incredible. Now that we are back in arenas, we have a pretty live event experience with your T-shirt guns,” he said.
This competition is no stranger to Jacksonville.
“We came last year. Last November we had our Super Crown World Championship. It was actually outside here on the river bridge,” Carr said.

“The world is our skatepark,” said Torey Pudwill. He is a professional skateboarder who traveled from Los Angeles for the event.
“You will see nothing but the best here. It’s for the people as well. We just want the crowd to enjoy it,” he said.
Pudwill says he doesn’t know who will win, but he, along with other skaters, will put on a show.
“It’s really rad to have the diversity of skaters. It’s anyone’s game, man,” Pudwill said.
According to Visit Jacksonville, businesses in the area saw over $6 million in sales when the tour came in 2021.
That is something that Will Frazier, who is a manager at Bold City Brewing, says gives him optimism for this weekend.
“We definitely expect to be busier than normal,” says Frazier
